A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce traveling pain you will feel in other areas such as your head, neck and hands etc. The pain may be sharp and intense or a dull ache.
A modality is a type of therapy that uses electrical, thermal or mechanical energy that causes physiological changes. It is used to relieve pain, improve circulation, decrease swelling, reduce muscle spasm.
Inversion therapy involves being upside down or at an inverted angle while hanging by the legs, ankles, or feet with the intention of therapeutic benefits. The process of doing so is called inversion. It is a form of spinal decompression for spinal traction.
Range of Motion Therapy, known as ROM, is treating the Connective tissues surrounding the joints increasing flexibility and normal function to the injured area.
